Lotus Massage Studio offers hassle-free Direct Billing for our Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) services, provided by skilled and licensed massage therapists. We work with most major insurers, covering 85% of privately insured Canadians. A physician's referral is not required to book an RMT massage, but it may be needed by your insurance provider. Some insurers may also require you to register for their online programs before we can process direct billing on your behalf. If you're unsure about your insurance requirements, please check with your provider. For more information, please read below. Some conditions apply.
If you are using your insurance for the first time or for the first time this year, please review the following information with your insurance company:
Insurance companies may not notify you if you are required to submit a new or renewed referral note for Massage Therapy. It is your responsibility to check with your insurance company about referral requirements before your appointment. If a referral note is required but not obtained prior to treatment, your insurance may decline payment.
Our direct billing system cannot retrieve your information unless your user account is set up through your insurance company’s claims portal.
Some group insurance plans may not be eligible for direct billing (e.g., student plans, group benefits).
