Welcome to Lotus Massage Studio's FAQ section! Here you will find answers to some of the most common questions we receive about our services. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
A: We offer a variety of massage styles, including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Shiatsu, and Aromatherapy. Our masseuses will work with you to determine the best technique for your specific needs.
A: Our massage sessions are typically 60 minutes, 90 minutes, or 120 minutes long. However, we also offer customized session times based on your preference and availability.
A: During your massage session, you can expect to be comfortably positioned on a massage table while your masseuse works on your muscles using various massage techniques. You will be draped with sheets or towels for privacy and comfort.
A: No, you don't need to bring anything to your appointment. We provide everything you need, including towels, sheets, and massage oils.
A: When you book with us, you are reserving a dedicated time slot. As a busy establishment, our staff have back-to-back appointments, so we are unable to extend your session if you arrive late. To ensure fairness, we must charge for the full service booked, regardless of arrival time. Your session will still end at the scheduled time to avoid delays for other clients.
A: Massage treatments are eligible for private insurance reimbursement when performed by a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT). Massages provided by non-RMTs are typically not covered by most health benefits. To see if we have RMTs available, click on "Meet our Team" where their designations are listed, or feel free to give us a call—we’ll be happy to assist you.
A: Please let us know if you have any skin sensitivities or allergies so we can use appropriate massage oils and avoid any potential allergic reactions.
A: The frequency of your massage sessions will depend on your specific needs and lifestyle. Some people prefer to get a massage once a month for relaxation, while others may require more frequent sessions for pain relief or injury recovery. Our masseuses can work with you to develop a personalized massage plan.
A: Yes, we offer gift cards for any of our massage services. They make a great gift for friends and family members who could use some relaxation and self-care.
A: Simply put, we are a for-profit business that needs to maintain profitability to stay operational. Accepting too many discounted services in a day, especially with limited availability, can negatively impact our profit margins. If you prefer not to wait for a service, you’re welcome to pay the full price.
A: To secure your appointment, a deposit of 25% per booking is required. Appointments of 2 or more require a 50% deposit. Please be aware that a minimum notice of 24 hours is required for any rescheduling or cancellations. For no-shows or same-day cancellations made within one hour of your appointment, an additional charge of $20 will be applied to your card on file. Additionally, if you have a gift voucher or previously redeemed credits (ClassPass), last-minute cancellations or no-shows will result in the forfeiture of your voucher or credits.
